Her life in northern Manitoba and her work at the Friendship Centre as a probation officer and addictions counsellor have influenced both the mediums and themes she has used in her art.  After two back surgeries in 1996 and 800km from the nearest art centre, her professional career in the arts has seen her exhibit work done in paint, photography, mixed media and beadwork installations.  Her rupertsland regalia_ the sulfur queen represented Canada at the 2009 Cheongju Craft Biennale, and the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Teresa created the caribou women series with the support of Manitoba Arts Council Craft grant. She presently has another grant to fund part of her blue beaver’s burden and the disappearance of the shaking tent sisters series.  In 2010 she was a finalist for the RBC glass artist award.
